For those of you who don't know, I'm a huge baseball fan. I love playing and watching baseball (maybe not the Mariners, since they've been the worst team in baseball for about 10 years). The two teams that are in this World Series are the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and the Philadelphia Phillies. I personally want the Rays to win, since they are one of the yongest teams in baseball, and their payroll(the overall amount of money they pay their players) is like a fourth of the Phillies. I originally wanted the Red Sox to win, but they lost to the Rays. Dustin Pedroia, one of the players on the Red Sox, is a distant relative of mine. But Boston won the World Series last year, and the Rays have never won one, so this is a good opportunity for them. The first game of the World Series will start this Wednesday. I am very excited about this, and will be begging my parents to let me stay up past my bedtime to watch the game. The Rays have had like the worst record in baseball behind the Mariners for along time, but they finally got good. The key players on the Rays are B.J. Upton, Carl Crawford, Evan Longoria, and Scott Kazmir. The Phillies have Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley. The Phillies have a more rounded team than the Rays, but I guess you could say that the Rays have better players. So, if you're a baseball fan, be sure to watch the World Series! Go Rays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A book I like

I like books, but one that stands out in my mind that I really thought was great was "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". I read that book like five times, I just couldn't get enough of it. I think that it is insanely well written(oh, and by the way, if you haven't read the book, you probably shouldn't' read this blog, because it has spoilers). I really like how it's full of action and it has a little mystery to it as well. I think my favorite part is the battle of Hogwarts, all the way up to the battle at the end because it's a really long scene and it has a lot of depth to it, filled with some sad and happy parts. I also like the part when Ron has commented that Harry has stopped saying You-Know-Who's name. Harry says that it was just a bad habit he'd gotten into, and said "Voldemort". "No!" Ron yelled, but too late. Ron explained that anybody who said his name could be traceable. They then started gathering their belongings, but too late! They heard voices outside and knew that they had been found. Harry was surprised when Hermione pointed her wand at him, and jinxed the heck out of his face to disguise him. I really liked the drama that followed at Malfoy manner. I think that this book could be a candidate for one of the best books I've ever read in my life, and I strongly recommend it(I haven't read Brisinger yet, I heard that that's a pretty good book as well).
